Natural ways for supporting your health
Optimal health is finding the right balance of everything we need…
Air
The quality of our air is so important. When we breath deeply and constantly we fill our cells with life. Effective breathing regenerates cells and tissues and teaches your system how to relax properly. Breathing effectively supports us to sleep well and rejuvenates the whole body and mind by stirring up and rearranging the necessary ions of the body. Proper breathing also facilitates digestion and elimination.
How can we restore oxygen balance in the body?
Alkaline diet - increase plant foods and decrease processed food and animal based food. Introducing additional fruit and dark leafy greens is a great start.
Adequate hydration - water is essential for utilisation of oxygen in the body and also for transporting other bodily fluids. Without adequate water all bodily functions are diminished. Drinking water must be filtered and if possible drink restructured or ionised water which provides higher levels of hydration and oxygenation.
Proper breathing - Healthy breathing is slow, around 12 breaths per minute. Breath should be from the diaphragm (not the chest), and through the nose (not the mouth).
Daily exercise - Aerobic exercise will help your body utilise oxygen and eliminate waste. 30 minutes a day of walking is perfect to support your lymphatic system. 2 minutes on a trampoline is even better!!
Conscious breathing:
Inhale for 7 seconds
Hold for 7 seconds
Exhale for 7 seconds
Hold for 7 seconds
Repeat for 7 rounds
Incorporate plants into your home and lots of them!
Plants are motionless cleaners that only need soil, water and sunlight in exchange for the significant health benefits they will bring to your home. Some of the most beneficial plants include: English Ivy, Money Plant and Peace Lily.
Once you have added your plants open the doors and windows each day to let in some fresh air and shift any stagnant air in the home. This will help energise the air in your home bringing you additional health benefits.
Water
Water. Natures blood! All food either contains water or has water involved in its production. Your body is 70% water. Earth is 70% water. Fascinating!
Many of us are dehydrated on a daily basis and don’t realise it. The result of dehydration can be digestive difficulties, decreased organ function, toxicity in the body and blood, muscle spasms, joint pain and water retention. Stagnancy caused by lack of water causes many sicknesses and disease. You need to intake 1 litre of water per day for every 22kg of body weight.
